Iz and I are flying to Seattle for 10 days. So, it’s a blogging break for me! I’ll see you when I get back, with lots of pictures and stories. While we are gone, our roof will be redone. It will be a new house when we get home!

LuckyStitchers gathered at Friday night…and we had a blast!
Robin worked on a child’s quilt with fabulous prints from . Tina FINALLY (jeez…I don’t know what she was waiting for) finished her tote bag that she started in the fall. Lex was busy sewing a baby carrier – with baby on her back once he woke up. was busy knitting a bracelet (ooh…can’t wait to see this one finished). Helene was knitting a wool hat (yes in April…it’s for a benefit auction), and then sewed in a fleece lining. Stephanie was adding a loop (to keep her hair in place) to . Marie wanted help with her draft of an A-Line skirt.
It was fun! So much fun…I can’t even remember what I worked on. Can’t wait to do it again! I’m planning on having LuckyStitches open almost every Friday for a Friday Night Sew-cial. 6pm-9pm in Northampton, MA. Check for details.
I made another little zippered pouch for the . It’s on it’s way to someone in the UK. It’s small and filled with just a few things, pink irridescent sequins by-the-yard, pink felt flowers that have a fusible backing, perfect for ironing onto something and the cutest rhinestone flower stickers. The pouch is from this wonderful . The fabric is from thrifted drapes. I’m almost out of it…and everytime I’m out thrifting, I go straight to the drapes and bedding. I did get some great stuff on my last trip, pictures later.

I was so thrilled this morning to find an email from my brother saying he had posted pictures on Flickr. They are about 24 hours away by plane – so we don’t get to see them often. The boys are too cute for words. It’s nice to see pictures of them and their parents. We sure do miss them. There certainly is something to be said for having family close by. It would be nice to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries and holidays together. Or just to have some cousins to play with every once in a while.

Bed jumping. Busted! This was from a few days ago. Now, I can’t get her off our bed! She begs to go upstairs to jump on the bed. A bit after this picture was taken, she did jump right off the bed onto her back. And she was fine. I had a heart attack. I’m trying to not project my fears about falling onto her, and let her just play and jump and have fun. When she’ on our bed jumping, occasionally, I reminder her to “stay in the middle”.
