I’ve been making things for as long as I can remember. One of my first sewing lessons must have been with a needle and red thread, and I stitched around a colorbook page of Red Riding Hood. In the second grade, with Mom’s help, I made my very first pantsuit (hint to my age perhaps?). The top was a pink calico print and the bottom was solid pink. It even had a belt.
In the first grade I wrote my first book. I won the Young Author’s Award. I still have it.
I studied Fashion Design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY and worked in the Fashion Industry for 20+ years.
I used to have a sewing lounge (I loved that sewing lounge). I recently gave up sewing (for real). Unloaded all my supplies (ok I still have the dressform and a sewing machine, but really, nothing else), and I’ve started writing. You can read a little about that here.
Oh, and I do yoga. I love it. I think about how it’s changed me here.
I don’t know what’s next, but I can promise you, I won’t be bored. Thanks for visiting. XO
