Color Wheels

People always ask, what’s your favorite color?  Pink is usually what blurts out, but honestly, I LOVE all the colors.  I could eat every single color like candy.  And I love color wheels.  I remember the color wheel on the wall of my art class in elementary school, then every single art class after that through college.  I still swoon when I see color arranged like this.

You can read about the history of color wheels here and here’s another post on the history of the color wheel.

  • Love it, love it, love it!!

  • Please note that the bottom 4 images were taken from my book, The Creation of Color in Eighteenth Century Europe. Although, yes, they are old enough to be considered in the public domain the actual image may be subject to copyright. And your readers should have the opportunity to read the essays that explain and create the context for these items.
