Hiding behind a stack of strips cut from clothes from our clothing swap to find materials for our Eco-Quilts. Our quilts will be made from clothing, bed linens and other scraps of fabric. Unless of course…
we had to try the clothes on….
and on….
It was a little wild…ly fun!
If anyone wants to sew along, please do! A note – you don’t have to have a wild clothing swap to participate. While it’s recommended, it certainly isn’t required. But you do have to have some fun.
Is that wild orange sweater up for grabs?
What a great idea, I might have to do one here and our group could seww along with yours!
Looks like you had a lot of fun!!
Oh Suzi -I hope you do sew a long! If you do – please send pictures! Happy Sewing!
Mom (the other Suzy) – Orange Sweater is now part of an Eco-Quilt..it was pretty fabulous!
A great place to get started for a project like this would be at The Garment District in Boston (Cambridge actually), where you can get used clothes for $1/lb.
This looks like so much fun, hope you post what the kids create!
