23 degrees

That’s what our thermometer said this morning when we got up.  In case I didn’t tell you, we heat our house with a wood stove, so if the fire hasn’t been going, it’s chilly, or pretty much freezing.  So…I was looking at these this morning.  Doesn’t that just warm your … soul?  Might even make a thoughtful Christmas gift?

Holiday Ornament Swap 2007

swaplogo_07.jpg

It’s finally here! I’ve been checking freshly{blended} every few days to see when the swap would be announced and it’s HERE! Can you tell I’m a little excited? I LOVE ornaments, and over the past year I’ve participated in some really great swaps, but this one is IT! I had a lot of fun last year, and have brainstorming ideas all year for 2007.  I especially love this swap because the sky is the limit – you can use any media, method, idea for the ornaments, which makes for fun packages in the mail (another one of my favorite things).

To sign up – click on over to freshly{blended} for all the details and how to do it.  Sign-ups will end on Friday, November 9th at midnight U.S. Eastern Standard Time (New York time.)

Peruse the Flickr group for the 06 swap.

Mom, I’m Shaving

Those were the words I heard this morning during the morning routine (making the sink sparkle, folding laundry, cleaning out the fridge).  First thought – Rob left the sharps basket out, and she grabbed the razor, but if she’d cut herself, I would have known, maybe she grabbed one that didn’t have a blade in it?  I thought she was still downstairs with me and I ran all around, but no Iz.  Again, “MOM! I’M SHAAAAVING”.  I looked up the stairs and this is what I saw smiling down at me:

Does Anyone Know How To Remove Sharpie From A Face?

Somehow, she’d gotten a Sharpie from somewhere, and ran upstairs and sat in front of her mirror.  She probably spent about 15 minutes or so covering her ENTIRE body with black sharpie.  When I came upstairs, she sat in front of her mirror and tried to “shave” some more.

Does anybody know how to remove Sharpie from the body?
