2nd Birthday Celebration

B-day #2 – star brownie in the dark, originally uploaded by zannestar.

We celebrated a 2nd birthday earlier this month. I baked her a STAR brownie. (I actually let her lick the spoon! WHAT A TREAT! I’ve never seen eyes like that!). I had a few sparklers and used one for the center. She was pretty amazed.

B-day #2 - star brownie

B-day #2 - balloons!
For her party, we ordered balloons, when they came in the house, she stood in amazement. I was hoping that each child could take one home, but by the end of the party, they were tied in a knot and the kids were taking turns running through the house with them. Izzy’s hair is so fine, that the static LOVED her. too cute!

B-day #2 - cupcake tower
The cupcakes were on a tower and loaded with sparklers. It certainly held everyone’s attention!

B-day #2 - party's over!
The party ended as quickly as it had started. We had a great time. I found cupcake wrappers in her bed!

oh and I almost forgot…

Because I have sooooo much time on my hands, I created some LuckyStitches goodies on cafepress.com.   It was actually on my to-do list.  I need a uniform for the lounge, so I thought I’d start with this.  I ordered a few, thinking I’d pull a Karl Lagerfeld and stick to a uniform that consists of the same things.  Makes it easy, I’ll just have to stay on top of the laundry.

Well, it’s official. I’ve launched LuckyStitches.

It’s a place where someone can come and learn to use their sewing machine, learn sewing skills, patternamking skills and fit skills. It’s a place for all levels. Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Intermdiate and Advanced. It’s a place where people can just come and hang out and sew, I have a few machines available for renting already, the’ll be a cutting table and irons. I am so fortunate right now to be renting a space from The Spirit of the Heart Kung Fu Studio in Northampton, Ma. It’s a great space, open and clean! and there is plenty of storage for the LuckyStitches paraphenalia.

In the next few days, I’ll be finishing up ordering/shopping for the space and getting ready for our first class, Re-Make a T-shirt into … Some will make a cool new shirt, or a skirt or a bag. The possibilities are endless!
